I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!

This message in a nutshell: 1) OptimusPrimeBot is intermittently failing video uploads from Flickr. 2) I made a cleanup category for them and it'd be a big help if you could run a bot to detect these failed uploads and sort them in that cat.

Hello there, OptimusBot has uploaded a pile of very useful public domain BLM images. It's also attempted to upload related videos, but failed: it's uploaded the first frame as a JPEG (File:Fria ball (51614524462).jpg) and pseudo uploaded the video (File:Fria ball (51614524462).webm. The video comes in as a 1-frame 0.0-second WEBM, while the file on Flickr, if manually downloaded, is MP4. Meanwhile, other videos get imported without problem (File:Owyhee_Complex_(44344198654).webm).
I run into these failed video uploads sorting through the "check needed" clean-up cat for uploads from BLM's Flickr accounts. These video files have varying file names so I find them in small batches. For ease of housekeeping, I created a cleanup cat at Category:Flickr files uploaded by OptimusPrimeBot with failed video import, and will be populating it manually as I browse horsey BLM files. However if you'd feel so inclined, it would be wonderfully helpful if you could do a bot run to look for and add WEBM files uploaded by OptimusPrimeBot with 0.0/0.01 seconds of runtime.
In the longer term, it would be best if OptimusPrimeBot could detect failed video uploads as a part of its Flickr import runs; even better if it could do repair runs to reupload these files properly; but that will obviously take a bunch of time and work from your part, so for now, just having all the problem videos in one category would be swell.

I recently noticed that the two bots sometimes get in each other's way. User:DPLA bot is uploading a new file because the inventory number and file description have changed. But wait, it was a file that had already been uploaded by the DPLA bot earlier, some months or maybe years back, under the old inventory number and file description. As OptimusPrime is programmed, it tags the new upload as a duplicate of the old one, since it wants to keep the older upload. However, from the perspective of the Digital Public Library of America, it would be better to keep the new file, as it is the more accurate one, has the correct file name and inventory number. My request, therefore, is directed to both of you: OptimusPrimeBot will no longer tag DPLA bot uploads as duplicates, provided this is programmable by you, Don-vip. Furthermore, DPLA bot should in future tagg its uploads that it no longer needs with {{Duplicate}} by himself (which he already does but not fast enough, that's why we have then the robot wars...) or a speedy deletion request for a redirect, in case the old redirect is needed for an new upload. @Ziv: Thanks for starting this. I also have been actively developing DPLA bot's code. DPLA_bot's new functionality catches drift at the instition's site by checking their current image hashes against what is in Commons, and also ensuring any title/ID changes are synchronized. There were a lot of edge cases that caused issues on testing that I had to rollback and bugfix. Such as: one page in a multi-page item gets inserted/removed, and now every page needs to get renumbered. This causes a duplicate to de uploaded briefly, until you get to the next page in the series and overwrite that one, and so on. I have built out a lot more logic now to try to always tag the genuine duplicates, but otherwise use file renames and CommonsDelinker to retain all the proper linkages on images and not use excess admin time.
